Cartier Love Collection, originally designed by Aldo Cipullo and inspired by a chastity belt, used to keep women chaste launched in 1969. Cartier gifted a his-and-hers version to famous couples like Ali McGraw and Steve McQueen, Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti and Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Cartier launched these new pieces as a continuation of this tradition.
