POLICE in Paris have found £12 million worth of jewels in a drain, the BBC reports. A spokesperson confirmed today that the pieces were stolen from Harry Winston on Avenue Montaigne in 2008, in a haul worth more than £70 million. Police say 19 rings - including a 31-carat ring worth more than £5 million - and three sets of earrings, were found today concealed in a plastic container, set into a cement mould, at a house in Seine-Saint-Denis. No further arrests have been made. Nine people were charged and jailed following the robbery.
